Anita Briem was born in Iceland. Anita Briesm, an Icelandic performer, is best known for her portrayal of Jane Seymour (the young woman who will later be the wife to Henry VIII) in the TV show The Tudors. Also for the character of Hannah in the 2008 film Journey to the Center of the Earth. Briem started her acting career in the age of 9 in the National Theater in Iceland. Her home country of Iceland she worked on TV, radio and other programs as a young actress. Briem moved from Iceland to London when she was 16 and was a part of an opera called Lenin's Love. Briem 19 years old, she was admitted to at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. She studied there for three consecutive years. Briem earned her degree in Drama, and was awarded the John Barton Prize under the Scenic Fight category.
